My cat ignored it for a day, then the included bag of catnip changed everything. Now she's sprawled across the little dog shape like she owns it, and I keep catching her kneading the top before she passes out.
The dachshund shape is honestly what sold me, and my cat took to it within a day. That little bag of catnip it came with sealed the deal — she was rolling on it before I even set the post down.
My cat ignored every scratcher I've bought until this one, and I think the included bag of catnip sealed the deal. He's been kneading and rolling on it for two days straight now.
