After every muddy walk I fill this thing with water and dip each paw in, and the grit sinks right to the bottom instead of spreading across my floors. It's small enough at 5.25 inches long to tuck next to the door, and my dog stopped fighting me on paw wiping within a week.
I keep this little plunger by the back door and it's cut our muddy paw prints way down. The 4-inch height means my beagle's paws fit without water splashing everywhere, and it's small enough to stash on a shelf. Rinses clean in seconds too.
My dog used to track mud straight onto the couch after every walk, but dunking his paws in this before he comes inside has basically solved it. The 4-inch height is just right for my beagle's legs without him having to step up awkwardly.
